BIG BEN IN SHORT IN ENGLISH
Education is a relation
We believe that good, wise relationships should be the foundation of every person’s life, determine good upbringing and education. The relations, as we see them, are beneficial for both parents and all staff members in our School, who strive every day to positively influence the development of children. This is why, at BIG BEN, we put such a strong emphasis on an individual approach based on empathy, as well as conducting psychoeducational sessions in every class as part of the curriculum. By enabling daily interaction with the English language and British culture, we encourage openness and exploration of the world, while also highlighting the importance of nurturing and expressing respect for others, looking at each other with empathy, and supporting one another. We make every effort to ensure that our children enjoy coming to school, feel safe, and spend their time happily and creatively.
Our Values
We are a modern school that prioritizes relationships and communication. Our goal is to ensure that our children enjoy attending school, feel safe, and develop while spending their time joyfully and creatively.
We build this place together—administration, teachers, non-teaching staff, students, and parents—and we share responsibility for it. We aim to instill in young people a love for their homeland, respect for Polish cultural heritage and traditions, while also embracing the values of European and global cultures, with a particular focus on British culture.
We teach not only book knowledge but, above all, the reinforcement and understanding of the key values that guide us in everyday life. We educate children to embrace respect, acceptance, cooperation, the awareness that success requires effort, a sense of responsibility for themselves and others, mindfulness, and the ability to truly listen to one another.
We strive to shape in young people a sense of self-worth that comes from being unique individuals while emphasizing that, as individuals, we need one another, we are important to each other, and we share mutual responsibility for the relationships we create. Our goal is to teach them how to build healthy and meaningful bonds with all people, regardless of their cultural background, but based on tolerance, respect, and mutual curiosity.
The comprehensive development of our students—intellectual, psychological, and social —is our priority. We support children in the learning process, respond to their needs, provide constructive feedback, and help them resolve any doubts that arise.
We believe that education is a lifelong process, which is why we also invest in the continuous development of our team through trainings, courses, webinars, and postgraduate studies.
We are open to collaboration with other institutions to exchange experiences and broaden perspectives, as we firmly believe that together, we can achieve much more.
School Patron – BIG BEN
General Władysław Anders is a historical figure who joins Polish and British culture. This connection extends beyond these two nations, placing his legacy within a broader European and global context. Anders was a Polish general during World War II, a distinguished commander of the 2nd Polish Corps, and a key participant in the Italian Campaign and the Battle of Monte Cassino. He also served as the Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Armed Forces in the West.
Our school was named in his honor by his daughter, Anna Maria Anders, who remains a close friend of the institution.
The name BIG BEN symbolizes our openness to the world, respect for British culture, and the values of determination, resilience, and leadership exemplified by General Anders. Just as Big Ben is a timeless landmark in London, our school aims to be a place of strong foundations, inspiring learning and lasting values.
